A private Japanese-style arcade. Learn the games before you play.
Enter the ArcadeThe heart of the Garagecade is its lineup of Konami & Taito rhythm games, imported straight from the arcades of Japan. These are authentic Japanese arcade cabinets - the same machines you'd find in the game centers of Akihabara and Shinjuku. If you're new, don't worry - every game has a tutorial mode.
All Konami games here support e-amusement card saves, so you can track your scores, unlocks, and progress across sessions. You can use your phone or a physical card - just tap it on the card reader. The first time you tap your phone, your card number will appear on screen - take a picture of it for registration. Then create a free account at eagle.ac and link that card number to your profile.
Phones work on all Konami games but not Groove Coaster. Amusement IC cards work on everything. Blue NESiCA cards only work on Groove Coaster. Ask Curtis for more details or for how to get a card.
The legendary DJ simulation game from Konami. A staple of Japanese arcades since 1999 and considered the gold standard of rhythm gaming.
You have 7 keys and a turntable. Notes fall from the top of the screen - hit the corresponding key or spin the turntable when they reach the judgment line. Start on Normal difficulty and work your way up. Use both hands: left hand on keys 1–4, right hand on keys 5–7 and the turntable (or vice versa).
High-energy rhythm game with a massive EDM-heavy song list. The knob controllers make this unlike anything else in the arcade.
You have 4 buttons (BT-A through BT-D), 2 FX buttons, and 2 analog knobs (left and right). Tap buttons when notes hit the line, and turn the knobs to follow the laser tracks on the left and right sides of the screen. Start with Level 1–5 songs. The knobs feel weird at first but you'll get it fast.
A unique touch-panel rhythm game. Instead of scrolling notes, you tap a 4×4 grid of translucent buttons as they light up in time with the music.
The screen is a 4×4 grid of 16 panels. Each panel is both a display and a button. When a marker appears on a panel, tap it in rhythm. The markers pulse or ripple to the beat - hit them right as they reach full size. This is one of the most beginner-friendly games. Just tap along!
A piano-style rhythm game with a beautiful watercolor aesthetic. Play classical, pop, and game music arrangements on a real keyboard-style controller.
The controller is a 28-key piano keyboard. Notes fall from above and you play them on the keys below - just like a simplified piano. Wider notes require you to press multiple adjacent keys. If you've ever played piano or keyboard, this will feel natural. If not, start on Easy - it uses fewer keys and simpler patterns.
Originally a Taito mobile hit, the arcade version uses unique "booster" stick controllers. Your avatar rides a rollercoaster-like track through psychedelic visuals.
You have 2 booster sticks (one per hand). Tap, hold, or flick them in different directions as targets appear along the track. Tap = press down. Hold = press and hold. Slide = flick left/right. Scratch = wiggle rapidly. The track visuals guide you - watch the shape of each note and react. Very intuitive once you start moving.
A touchscreen rhythm game where notes bounce between your side and the opponent's side of the screen, like musical air hockey.
Notes (circular objects) fly toward a judgment line at the bottom of the touchscreen. Tap them right when they hit the line. Some notes come from the top (your side) and some bounce back from the other side. Think of it like Pong meets rhythm games. You can play versus a CPU or another player. Flick notes require a swipe motion instead of a tap.
Arc System Works' gorgeous 2.5D fighter based on the Dragon Ball universe. Fast-paced 3v3 tag battles with spectacular animations.
Pick 3 characters for your team. Light, Medium, Heavy, Special are your four attack buttons. Mash Light for an auto-combo if you're brand new. Quarter-circle forward + Special fires a super move (with enough meter). Call assists with the two assist buttons. The game is designed so beginners can have flashy fights right away.
The definitive collection spanning the entire Street Fighter legacy. From the classic World Warriors to the latest entries in the series.
Classic 6-button layout: Light/Medium/Heavy Punch and Light/Medium/Heavy Kick. Quarter-circle forward + Punch for a Hadouken (Ryu/Ken). Forward, Down, Down-Forward + Punch for a Shoryuken. Each character has unique special moves but the motion inputs are shared across the series. Pick Ryu to learn the fundamentals.
The complete MvC series - from the original Clash of Super Heroes through Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Tag-team chaos at its finest.
MvC2/3 are the fan favorites. Pick a team of characters and swap between them mid-fight. Light, Heavy, Assist 1, Assist 2 (varies by title). Aerial combos are the name of the game - launch with Down+Heavy, then follow up in the air. Call assists to extend combos or cover your approach. It's wild, it's fast, and it's incredibly fun even if you're button-mashing.
A classic Galaxian cabinet fitted with the iCade 60-in-1 board. Sixty golden-age arcade titles in one machine, including all the hits from the early '80s.
Galaga, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Dig Dug, Frogger, Space Invaders, Ms. Pac-Man, Centipede, and many more. Use the joystick and 1–2 buttons. These are the games that started it all - simple controls, infinite replayability. Toggle through the game list with the select button.
A dedicated Donkey Kong cabinet running the original 1981 Nintendo classic. The game that introduced the world to Mario (then called Jumpman).
Joystick to move, Jump button to jump. Climb ladders, dodge barrels thrown by Donkey Kong, and reach the top to rescue Pauline. Grab the hammer power-up to smash barrels for bonus points. There are 4 unique stages that loop with increasing difficulty. The current high-score target to beat is posted on the cabinet.
